We are looking for a Business & Pipeline Development Manager to join us as we expand availability of our mGripAI solutions to tackle some of the most pressing piece-picking challenges found with consumer product goods. mGripAI is a groundbreaking package of ultra-fast 3D vision, artificial intelligence software, and soft grasping that gives industrial robots the hand-eye coordination of human workers finally enabling their use in tasks otherwise performed with labor. The Business & Pipeline Development Manager is a multifaceted role centered on proactively interfacing with existing and prospective customers to generate new business opportunities.  Leveraging their technical background, the Business & Pipeline Development Manager will explain the benefits of Soft Robotics unique mGripAI solutions to new and existing potential customers to aggressively build and increase a pipeline and close new business while identifying customer needs and informing Product Development. *When not traveling, this position is on site at the Bedford, MA corporate headquarters*


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Generate business in existing and target accounts
  • Identify new opportunities to capture new business 
  • Deliver technical presentations explaining products or services to existing and prospective customers
  • Work with customers to uncover their primary challenges, assess equipment needs, and determine system requirements
  • Partner with sales, product, and applications engineering teams to determine customer requirements
  • Actively manage opportunities and proactively increase sales pipeline
  • Ensure data consistency and data entry in Salesforce
  • Identify high-potential customers
  • Establish and build meaningful relationships with customers to encourage trust and loyalty
  • Work closely with customers to bridge the identified customer needs and opportunities with solutions



  • BS in Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience in the Industrial Automation industry
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, customer service, and sales skills
  • Presentation skills and ability to convey product and company value
  • High-level organizational skills for maintaining sales territory
  • Experience with CRM; Salesforce preferred
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time
  • Experience in the warehouse automation industry preferred
  • Existing relationships with warehouse automation system integrators preferred
