To be a leader in a growing industry, you have to build the best team.  We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our team in developing AI enabled robotic solutions for our customers. The Data Engineer will work on a cross functional team and be responsible for data collection, organization, and analysis for the ML training pipeline.  The Data Engineer will manage the overall ML dataset, including both defining the data structure and implementing tools as necessary to manipulate that data.  In addition, the Data Engineer will work closely with the applications engineering team to run the data generation and ML model training pipelines to ensure all projects complete in a timely manner.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collect, analyze, and organize data used for mGripAI machine learning training
  • Manage the overall ML dataset, including defining data structure and implementing tools for manipulating data
  • In coordination w/ ML and applications team, execute data generation and model training pipelines
  • Perform model validation and metrics generation


Requirements:

  • BS / MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
  • 2-4 years of professional experience, working in a similar data engineering or analytics role
  • Understanding of different machine learning models, especially those used for robotics perception applications, is a plus 
  • Experience with synthetic data generation is a plus
  • Excellent data processing and analysis skills
  • Strong programming experience in Python
  • Experience with various machine learning frameworks, PyTorch in a plus
  • Experience working in a Linux development environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of software development best practices and a software quality mindset
