As we continue to grow, we have an immediate need for a well-rounded Principal Electrical Engineer to join our team to develop Intelligent and Robotic Soft Gripping solutions. As the Electrical Engineer on cross functional development teams, you will collaborate at the system level to converge on the best overall approach. You will design, develop, test, debug, verify and validate entirely new products as well as iteration of existing products, systems, subsystems, and components in the industrial automation space.
As the ideal candidate, you have a balanced combination of strong intertest in system level design and trades, experience in Robotics or Industrial Automation, and the strongest Electrical Engineering discipline. You are a high-powered individual contributor that thrives when working as part of a highly collaborative, cross functional development team. You have experience designing complex systems that incorporate embedded electronics, cameras & sensors, high speed communications, motors & motor control, and pneumatic actuation. You are a seasoned professional with experience in all aspects of Electrical Engineer including analog, digital, component selection, schematics, and layout. You are equally capable in advanced development as well as thorough product sustainment. You are fluent in a modern ECAD tool (i.e. Altium Designer), analog simulation software, and you may also have experience using MATLAB or Python for mathematical analysis. You enjoy working independently and in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
The ability to work hands-on in an engineering lab is an important quality for the person who lands this role. You have familiarity with soldering, circuit prototyping, and various 3D printing, laser cutting, and other rapid prototyping technologies. It is important that you are customer focused, driven, and passionate about creating high quality experiences as well as robust, maintainable, and well tested implementations.
